Virginia: bbgb books and Richmond

The thing is: I love bookstores. They are My Place. I often lament that I have to buy food rather than books, and I am still brainstorming a way to create clothing from book pages (alas, I have failed so far).

But the bookstore I visited in Richmond--bbgb books--I love LOVE that one!

I so enjoyed the signing here!

The inside of bbgb books. Isn't this wonderful?! I could sit in that chair and lose hours.

I'm talking about my middle grade novel, Exit Strategy. (Note: I tend to make strange faces while I'm speaking.)

I loved talking to everybody during the signing. At this event, there was a young man that had already read my book. He could name all the pranks done by the main character. It was a new and awesome experience.

The conversations I get to have with readers are my favorite part. (Here my son joined into the chat.)

My friend, Cara, from high school came to this signing. It made it even more special! It was her suggestion that made me put Richmond on the route. And I am so thankful we did!

This event was so much fun--I think I'm going to have to write more books so I can come back!
